We are an independent branch of the RSPCA and rely solely on volunteers to raise funds to keep our Animal Work running. Fundraising takes place in areas where we, the Branch, are responsible for local animal welfare and there is a wide variety of volunteering roles available which only require a small time commitment.
in our one of our charity shop's in Upton upon Severn, St. Johns (Worcester) or Bromsgrove. If you're unable to commit to a
regular weekly slot of time maybe you could help at one of
our annual event such as our Fun Dog Show day, or at our
Christmas Fair. Perhaps you're keen to help spread the word
about the work the RSPCA does to encourage responsible pet
ownership. We have a role for you where your help will be
extremely welcome and appreciated.
As a trustee of the Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch, you will be responsible (with your fellow committee members) for managing the affairs of the branch to promote and provide animal welfare within the Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire area.
We are the RSPCA and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are incredible, they play an essential role in helping us carry out our important animal welfare work every day.
Much of our direct animal welfare work is carried out through our Branches. These separately registered charities across England and Wales are run by volunteers who are unstinting in their work for animal welfare. This is an exciting opportunity to become involved with the Branch, helping to achieve our purpose of promoting kindness and preventing cruelty to animals.
RSPCA Branches raise money locally to support the animal welfare work they do. Each Branch operates at a local level offering advice, microchipping, neutering and subsidised animal treatments, as well as rehabilitating and rehoming animals taken in through their clinics, animal centres, boarding and fostering facilities.
Do you have professional expertise you could use to help a good cause? Are you passionate about animal welfare? We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable professional people to actively volunteer for the Branch as trustees, ensuring that the Branch is governed and managed effectively, whilst continually having animal welfare at the forefront of their minds.Trustees serve on the governing body of the charity and have the responsibility of the running of the Branch.
As a trustee of a Branch you will have the chance to influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals.
As a home visitor for the branch, you will be responsible for visiting the homes of potential adopters to ensure their suitability for an RSPCA animal and to revisit homes post adoption to ensure that the all is going well. For this role, you will need time, the use of a vehicle and access to a telephone. Home visitors are required in all our branch areas, including Worcester, Malvern, Upton Upon Severn, Pershore, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Rubery, Henley-in-Arden and surrounding districts.
We organise many different events on a regular on going basis throughout the year to raise funds for maintaining our work at the Animal Centre. If you could help us raise money by organising an event in your area please get in touch.
We always welcome new members to our fundraising team to help out at events. Can you bake cakes? We are always looking for enthusiastic bakers to supply our cakes to sell at our events throughout the year. Our shops are open . If you can spare a morning or afternoon on a regular basis to help serve in the shops and to sort our donations, you will be made most welcome. Volunteers receiving RSPCA awards for their freely given time, effort and dedication.
We are looking for foster carers to temporarily look after animals. This could be for a variety of reasons including animals recovering from a medical procedure, pregnant or nursing mothers, or simply the fact that we don't have suitable accommodation at the time.
