Cats for adoption > JACK
JACK
Age: 1 year
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Gender: Male
Looking for: A cat-experienced adult-only home with some feline friends
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT JACK:
Jack is only around a year old, and came from a multi-cat household where his owner was struggling to cope. We don't know how he came to lose his eye, as this happened before he arrived in our care, but we do know that he was living with other cats and was particularly bonded with one female who we think could, quite possibly, have been his mum.Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, Jack has had to be separated from his friend, and he is really, really struggling now. He has gone from being a timid cat, described on his intake paperwork as nervous but friendly, to being openly aggressive, lashing out when we enter his pen, even before we get near.
This deterioration in his behaviour is very concerning, and we feel that this is more than him simply disliking the cattery; we're sure that he is pining for his companion.
So we are appealing for people who have a calm, adult-only home, with another cat or two (preferably females, though not essential), willing to take a chance on a spikey cat who is simply scared, confused and in need of feline friends. Jack needs someone understanding, who won't crowd him and will allow him to just "be". We feel sure that once he has bonded with another cat, he will start to relax.
Jack has not had an easy life so far, and we desperately want things to change for the better for him.
He's never been outside, and he now needs to learn about all that the big, wide world has to offer but also have the comfort of a loving home, with the security and love of other cats he can snuggle with.
If you can offer him this lifeline, we'd love to hear from you. Please complete our online form by clicking the link below or email animalcentrestaff@rspcaworcester.org.uk
