A LITTLE BIT ABOUT JUNO & LAYLA:

We possibly should have named these little ones "Chalk and Cheese" as they are so very different, and yet both were found as abandoned strays.

Little Juno was found on a canal towpath as a newborn. Thanks to our incredible fosterers who hand reared him, Juno has grown into a confident, playful, friendly little man. He's one of life's adventurers, fearless (other than being scared of being near water, which we think could be due to where he was found). He has lived with dogs and cats in his foster home, and had no qualms about playing with one of the resident pooches. He is full of energy and bravado, very funny and entertaining, he loves human contact and he truly is a testament to the love and dedication of the fosterers who raised him for the first few weeks of his life.

As he got older and more rambunctious and playful, it became clear that Juno needed a kitten friend...what we didn't bargain for was him finding four!! As commonly happens at this time of year, we ended up taking in several stray kittens, all found and trapped separately. All were nervous and shy of people, but Juno's confidence has done them all the world of good, and three of the gang are now reserved to go to a home together.

This leaves Juno paired with the least confident of the kittens, a little black and white lady named Layla. Initially she was a little hissy and spicy and withdrew from the group, but she is now forming bonds and by following Juno's lead, she is starting to trust humans and enjoy being stroked and handled. We can see the makings of a very affectionate cat with this little one!

We're seeking a calm home, with no very young children, where Layla can continue to gain confidence and Juno can be allowed to play the clown and get lots of cuddles (we feel sure that Layla will soon catch up in the cuddle stakes, but she needs to take things slowly!). We think they should be fine with another cat and a gentle, cat-friendly dog is also a possibility.
