A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MUSTARD & MAYO:
Mustard and Mayo are a pair of 4 month old "Bambino" Sphynx kittens, which means they have been specifically bred to have shorter legs. This type of breeding (crossing the hairless Sphynx cat, which carries a recessive hairless gene, with the so called "Munchkin" cat, which carries a dominant short-limbed gene) is controversial, due to the health issues that both Sphynxes and Munchkin cats are vulnerable to.
These babies have already had their share of health issues, with Mustard having suffered an anal prolapse and Mayo being considered not developed enough for neutering, though this will be done prior to them leaving our care. That said, we totally understand why people would fall for them as they are simply the most loving and affectionate little cats, and all they want is cuddles and close human contact.
They are incredibly bonded with each other, so they MUST stay together, and we are seeking a home that is highly experienced in the complex physical and emotional needs of Sphynx cats.
Following submission of your application, if we feel that you are a good fit, our Centre Manager (and Sphynx obsessive!) will contact you for an informal chat, prior to us inviting you in to meet Mustard and Mayo.
