OUR RABBIT ADOPTION PROCESS EXPLAINED

Once you see a rabbit/s you are interested in, the first step is to complete our online form, where you will also be asked to attach pictures of the rabbits' set-up/ areas the rabbits will have access to.

This is then pinged over to our team who will review your application and, if you are considered to be a good match, we will contact you (please be advised that we are a small team so it may take a few days for your application to be considered).

You may then be asked to send further pictures or a video of the rabbits' potential new home, and will also be invited to make an appointment to come in to meet the rabbit/s. It is asked that all members of your family attend where possible, particularly when there are children in the house, so that we can assess whether everyone is likely to get along!

We do require proof of ID. It is preferred if this can be brought along to your first appointment when you initially meet the rabbit/s, though you can bring it to your adoption appointment if you live a distance away and plan to adopt on the same day (this will only happen if you have already been approved and we have all the photos and videos in advance). A driving licence is ideal as this provides both photographic and address ID-if you don’t have this, we can take other forms of ID. Please speak to our team.

Once we have viewed your video and completed our checks, your rabbit/s is/are reserved to you!

You will then book a mutually convenient date and time to collect your new pet and on the day we ask that you bring a suitable, secure carrier (if you are adopting a a pair, a carrier big enough to have them both fit in together), your ID (if not previously provided) and the adoption fee of £55 each. We take cash or card payments.

We ensure that all rabbits have been vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and received a Xeno before leaving our care. You will also be provided with their medical history from our vets.

Our staff will go through everything you need to know and answer any questions you may have at this appointment, and then it’s the exciting bit…when you get to take your new member/s of the family home!

Remember, we are always on hand to offer help and advice should you have any concerns post-adoption…and we’re always delighted to receive updates and photos of your rabbit/s settling in!
