A LITTLE BIT ABOUT NIGEL:
Nigel truly is a cat in a million who captures the heart of everyone who meets him. He came into our care as a very poorly stray, found collapsed on the street in a very bad way. He couldn't walk, was seriously underweight and unable to eat due to an extremely sore mouth. For a while it was touch and go, and we did worry whether he would make it, but this boy proved to be a fighter...yet at the same time his sweet nature shone through, as he never once complained or lashed out.
X-rays showed that his lameness was due to a leg fracture which had been left untreated, causing the bone to fuse. Though we were initially concerned about his ongoing mobility, he now gets around well and can easily jump up onto the shelf in his pen. His sore mouth is all better which means that he is now enjoying his food and consequently he has gained weight nicely (see his before and after pic in our gallery below).
Now he feels so well, his inner kitten has come to the fore...he loves to play and even have a playful chomp on your hand (no malice intended-this is just how kittens play!). He adores having company and so we think he'd love a home where there is someone around most of the day, and having seen him interact with the other cats in our cattery, we think he'd love to have a young, feline friend!
